7. CAROLINE/CAROLINA ELIZA LOUISA FLOYD born 07 July 1806 at Fairfield Plantation in CCG; married MAJOR JAMES HAMILTON BLACKSHEAR on 02 July 1828 at Bellevue Plantation, CCG by Rev. Nath. A. Pratt of Darien (CCG Marriage Bk. A 1819-1831 p. 116).  He was born 04 August (or November) 1805 at "Springfield" in Laurens Co., GA, the son of BRIG.-GEN. DAVID BLACKSHEAR (son of James Blackshear & Catherine Franck Bush) & FRANCES "Fanny" HAMILTON (dau. of John Hamilton & Tabitha Thweatt).  Four children (John Floyd, Infant son, Fanny Maria, Isabella Sarah).  James H. Blackshear was a planter; he received land in Clark Co. in the 1827 GA Land Lottery.  (His brother = Everard Hamilton Blackshear m. Isabella Maria Caroline Hamilton; & brother = Elijah Francks Blackshear m. Mary Anne Lafayette Hamilton - both daus. of Everard Hamilton & Mary Hazzard Floyd).  On 22 January 1831, John Floyd gave his daughter, Caroline E. L. Blackshear, a gift of thirteen Negroes (CCG Deed Bk. L p. 474). Her name is listed as Cornelia Eliza Louisa in Historical Collections of the Joseph Habersham Chapter, DAR. Twice in A Little Family History, Mary Floyd Hamilton, refers to her as Carolina Eliza Louisa Floyd. The "Journal," of Charles Rinaldo Floyd lists: Caroline.  In December 1851, David Blackshear of Jackson Co., FL sold 1000 acres to Caroline L. Blackshear for $1000.00.  The land was on the east side of the Oconee River "below Elijah Blackshear's old ferry Landing, beginning at Shop Branch, up said branch to the fork near a negro graveyard, thence in a straight Line to Schoolhouse branch, near Dr. Hill's old schoolhouse, thence down branch to Still Branch, up Still Branch to Darien or Milledgeville Road, thence SE with road to David R. Maddox old house, and on to Trammel's graveyard, thence to Blackshear's Mill Branch to the beginning point" (Laurens County Georgia Legal Records Superior Court 1833-1857, comp. by Allen Thomas - Laurens Co. Deed Bk. 72 p. 214-216).  Laurens Co. was formed from Washington Co. in 1807.  In 1853, C. L. Blackshear bought 300 acres of land on the waters of Big Creek from her brother-in-law, Elijah F. Blackshear, for $500.00 - David Blackshear bought the land from Josiah Ellington & then conveyed it as an inheritance to Elijah (Laurens Co. Deed Bk. 72 p. 376-377).  In another transaction in 1853, Caroline sold 300 acres on Big Creek, known as Ellington Place - to Wade F. Sandford of Wilkinson Co. for $500.00 (Laurens Co. Deed Bk. 72 p. 377-378).  James Hamilton Blackshear died 23 February 1845 in Laurens Co., GA & is buried at Springfield Plantation.  Caroline/Carolina Eliza Louisa Floyd Blackshear died in July 1877 in Macon, GA.

3. FANNY MARIA BLACKSHEAR born 08 February 1832 in Laurens Co., GA (In Alice C. Tonge's notes name reads: Isabella Maria Floyd Blackshear "Fanny"); married DR. JAMES EMMETT BLACKSHEAR on 19 December 1852 in Laurens Co. He was born 25 October 1827 in Twiggs Co., GA, the son of JOSEPH BLACKSHEAR (son of Moses Blackshear & Elizabeth Davis) & ELIZABETH COLLINS PAUL (dau. of Mr. Paul & Rebecca Mitchell).  Seven children - five listed (James Emmett Jr., Eugene Herbert, Rosalie Floyd, Marian Alberta,Leila Cornelia).  He was a physician in Macon, GA.  She died 12 November 1878 in Macon; he died 15 November 1895 in Macon; both buried at Rose Hill Cem. in Macon, GA.

1. JAMES EMMETT BLACKSHEAR, JR. born 01 October 1855 in Macon, GA; never married; owned a chain of hotels; died in McComb, Pike, GA.

2. EUGENE HERBERT BLACKSHEAR born 14 October 1857 in Macon, Pike, GA; married LYDIA/LYDIAH McINTOSH on 07 December 1888 in McComb, MS.  She was born in 1860 in Natchez, Adams, MS, the daughter of WILLIAM McINTOSH.  One child listed (Bessie Rosalie).  She died 02 July 1905 in McComb, MS; he died 01 August 1939 in McComb, MS; both buried at Hollywood Cem. there.

-----1. BESSIE ROSALIE BLACKSHEAR born 06 August 1892 in McComb, MS; married FABIAN BREAUX on 14 October 1913.

3. ROSALIE FLOYD BLACKSHEAR born 22 July 1862 in Macon, GA; married MAURICE EDWARD ROBINSON on 15 February 1882 in Savannah, GA.  He was born 08 January 1857 in Savannah, GA, the son of EDWARD S. ROBINSON & JOHANNAH NEWMAN.  Seven children (Emmett Edward, Julian Carolus, Fannie,Louis, Rosalie Leila, Maurice, Johanna).  He died September 1920 in Jacksonville, FL & is buried in Savannah.  She died 09 July 1949 in Jacksonville & is buried at Oaklawn Cem. there.

-----1. EMMETT EDWARD ROBINSON born 24 October 1884 in Macon, GA; married 1st LUCILLE McKOWEN (div. 1920).  Three children.  He died 27 March 1938 in Wilson, NC.

"Tom" on 10 April 1929 in Jacksonville, FL.  He was born 18 May 1892 in Laurens Co., GA, the son of THOMAS JOSEPH BLACKSHEAR & EVA BERTHA STANLEY.  One child.  She died 27 April 1957 in Wilson, NC; he died in September 1959 in Wilson, NC.

MARIAN ALBERTA BLACKSHEAR born 18 November 1865 in Macon, GA; married LOUIS JACQUELIN GRAYBILL on 07 September 1892 in Savannah, GA.  He was born 16 September 1869 in Jacksonville, FL, the son of CHARLES BAILEY GRAYBILL & CATALINA ABBOTT CRESPO (dau. of Manuel Crespo & Juana Justa Geriana Marin, both of St. Augustine, FL). Three children (Lura Frances, Marian Helen, Louise Jacqueline).  (Files of Roberta Britton Gray, St. Simons Island, GA; files of Raymond L. Bothoms, Provo, UT).  He died 26 March 1920 in Atlanta; she died 19 May 1954 in Atlanta; both buried at West View Cem. in Atlanta, GA.

LURA FRANCES GRAYBILL born 29 November 1893 in Savannah, GA; married SAMUEL JUDD TORBETT on 23 July 1910 in Atlanta, GA. He was born 31 October 1888 in Savannah, GA, the son of FRANCIS/FRANK T. TORBETT & MATTIE CRUMLEY HAWES. Three children.  He died 28 November 1959 in Atlanta; she died 28 November 1985 in Atlanta, GA.

5. LEILA CORNELIA BLACKSHEAR born 28 November 1868 in Macon, GA; married JAMES ELLIOTT MARLOW on 23 April 1890 in Savannah, GA.  He was born ca. 1877. Two children (Robert Yancey, James Elliott Jr.).  He died in Savannah & is buried at Laurel Grove Cem. there. She died 03 August 1958.
