(Page 241) John Tomlinson and Rebecca Hardeman's son, John, Jr., born on December 11, 1784, was crippled and could not walk. He never married and lived with his brothers and their families. He amassed considerable wealth in land, cattle, slaves and cash in Clinch County. Tending to his business, he was carried from place to place by his slaves. John
