ALLIE JOHNSON

Johnny J. Johnson, Jr. and Emily Tomlinson's daughter Allie, born on November 17, 1892, worked all her life with the Cheek-Neal Coffee Company and later with the Maxwell House Coffee Company in Jacksonville. Allie never married. She died on August 6, 1975, and is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville. The following is a copy of Allie's obituary that appeared in the Friday, August 8, 1975, edition of TheFlorida TimesUnion.

    JOHNSON— Funeral services for Miss Allie Johnson will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of George H. Hewell and Son, Northside Funeral Home, 4747 Main St., the Rev. Harry B. Correll officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Miss Johnson of 1614 Wambolt St., died Wednesday evening. A native of Nassau County, she had lived here for more than fifty years. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include two sisters, Miss Lelia Johnson and Mrs. Gertrude Peacock and several nieces and nephews.
