Johnny J. Johnson, Jr. and Emily Tomlinson's son Duff Albert, born on March 19, 1891, worked for the Florida State Road Department. About 1937 Duff relocated to Fort Pierce, Florida, where he continued his work with the Florida State Road Department. About 1940 Duff, rather late in his life married Jewel. Not much is known about their life together except that they did not have children.

Duff Albert Johnson died on February 12, 1943, in Fort Pierce, Florida, and his body was brought to Jacksonville for burial, where many of his sisters lived. Jewel purchased plot 8-192 in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Jacksonville, for their final resting-place. Duff is buried there in an un- marked grave. The following is a copy of Duff's obituary that appeared in the Saturday, February 13, 1943, edition of The Florida Times Union, a Jacksonville newspaper.
