Johnson, Jr. and Emily Tomlinson's son, Jackson "Jack" John, born on January 14, 1895, married Gertrude "Trudy" Elizabeth Trouille, born August 31, 1901, in New York. Trudy was the daughter of Earnest Trouille and Laura Minnie Bergholtz. Earnest Trouille was born in 1870 in Wertenberg, Germany. He came
to this country in 1892 and was naturalized as an American in 1894. Laura Minnie was born on December 24, 1874, also in Germany, and was naturalized as an American in 1889. Earnest and Laura were married in 1897, and made their home in Tonawanda, New York. Trudy's siblings included Helena, born in 1899; Edward Conrad, born in 1905; Edgar, born in 1907; and two children who died as infants. All of Earnest and Laura Trouille's children were born in New York. In 1908, Earnest Trouille moved his
family from Tonawanda, New York to Hilliard, Nassau County, Florida, where he engaged in farming. Mother Laura Minnie Trouille died on April 10, 1914 and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Hilliard, Florida. Earnest is buried in Newton, North Carolina. Jack Johnson and Trudy Trouille made their home in Hilliard in Nassau County where Jack was engaged in logging. They were parents to Helena, born in 1921 or 1922, Arnold Jack, born on September 27, 1925, and a daughter, Bertha Helen, born on October 25, 1923. Jack and Trudy's daughter Helena died as an infant and is buried in the Mill Creek Cemetery in Hilliard, Florida. Jack Johnson served in the army during World War I in the Medical Detachment of the 211 Engineers. Jack died on January 5, 1962, and is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hilliard, Florida. Funeral services for Gertrude T. Johnson, 91, of Hilliard were held February 11, 1993 at the Callahan Funeral Home with the Reverend Charlie Dunn officiating. Interment followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Hilliard. A native of New York she had lived in Hilliard for the past 85 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hilliard.
Survivors include a son, Arnold J. Johnson of Folkston, GA.; nine grandchildren, 23
great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were Gerald Guynn, Roger Braddock, Steve Nelson, Jason Nelson, David Hamilton and Buddy Johnson, Jr. Arrangements were made by Callahan Funeral Home. 1944, married Bertha Mae Conner, daughter of Andrew John Conner and Frances Ophelia Woolard. Bertha Conner was born on April 25, 1924, in Folkston, Georgia. Arnold Johnson and Bertha Conner became parents to Frances "JoAnn", born on July 16, 1945; Lewis "Buddy" Arnold, born on October 13, 1948; and Diane Gertrude, born on December 12, 1946. In 1952, Arnold moved his family to Jacksonville where he worked as a station manager

In the 1950s Bertha Mae Conner and Arnold Jack Johnson divorced. Later Bertha Conner, on December 24, 1960, married Paul Parley of Jacksonville and Arnold
Johnson, on March 4, 1958, married Betty Lee Yarbrough. Both couples made their home in Jacksonville and both had childless second marriages. Betty Lee Yarbrough was born on December 17, 1931, in Nocatee, Florida, the daughter of Scott Augustus Yarbrough and Dottie Nelson. Dottie Nelson was the daughter of Morgan and Mary Nelson. Arnold Johnson and Bertha Conner's daughter Frances "JoAnn", born July 16, 1945, married Marvin E. Mixon. On February 14, 1961, a tragic automobile accident took JoAnn's life. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Reed, Cleveland Reed, Tommy McIntosh, Carlyle Conner, Twain Conner and Glenn Guynn. Honorary pallbearers will be his 7th grade classmates.
